    Samay is an AI-powered guide to Vedic wisdom — Jyotish, Bhagavad Gita, Ayurveda, and Yoga. It is a spiritual guidance tool, not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or psychological professional advice. By using Samay, you agree to these terms.
  

1. Who We Are

Samay is operated as an independent digital service offering AI-powered Vedic and spiritual guidance. You can reach us via our contact form.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Samay. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide (including your phone number and birth details) is accurate and belongs to you or a family member whose consent you have obtained.

3. Account Registration

Access requires registration with a valid mobile phone number. We use one-time passwords (OTP) sent via SMS to verify your number. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. The Service

Samay provides AI-generated guidance across four knowledge streams:

Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) — birth charts, dashas, panchanga, compatibility, and muhurta based on Swiss Ephemeris calculations.
Bhagavad Gita — verse lookup and contextual wisdom from all 18 chapters.
Ayurveda — dosha analysis, dietary guidance, and seasonal wellness.
Yoga — asana, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy.

All responses are AI-generated. Samay holds the tradition faithfully, but interpretations may vary from those of a trained human Jyotishi.

Free tier: All users receive a complimentary 10-minute session on the web interface — no sign-up required. Just open the app and begin.

6. Session Packs and Billing

7. How Session Time Is Metered

Billing starts when your session begins and ends when the session closes.
Minimum billable duration: Sessions shorter than 30 seconds are not charged.
Billing stops when you close the session or after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Processing time (when Samay is thinking or speaking) does count toward your session time.
Pack expiry: Unused minutes expire at the end of the 30-day validity period.

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Full refund: If you have not used any session time from a newly purchased pack, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase.
Partial refund: If you have used some session time, we will refund the value of unused minutes at the per-minute rate of your pack, minus a processing fee of ₹50.
No refund: Refunds are not available after 7 days from purchase, or if a pack has been fully used.

To request a refund, use our contact form with your registered phone number and the Razorpay payment ID. Eligible refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Samay for any illegal or harmful purpose, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service at scale, share your account credentials, or abuse the free tier through automated requests.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, and technology powering Samay are the property of their respective owners. The Vedic texts referenced by Samay belong to the public domain of the Vedic tradition. AI-generated responses are provided for your personal use and may not be resold or redistributed.

11. Not Professional Advice

Samay is a spiritual guidance tool. Nothing Samay says constitutes medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. The stars incline — they do not compel, and neither does Samay.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Samay and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the pack from which the claim arose.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via SMS or a notice on the service. Continued use of Samay after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
