1. Who We Are

Samay is operated as an independent digital service offering AI-powered Vedic and spiritual guidance. You can reach us via our contact form.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Samay. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide (including your phone number and birth details) is accurate and belongs to you or a family member whose consent you have obtained.

3. Account Registration

Access requires registration with a valid mobile phone number. We use one-time passwords (OTP) sent via SMS to verify your number. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or are used for abuse.

4. The Service

Samay provides AI-generated guidance across four knowledge streams:

• Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) — birth charts, dashas, panchanga, compatibility, and muhurta based on Swiss Ephemeris calculations.
• Bhagavad Gita — verse lookup and contextual wisdom from all 18 chapters.
• Ayurveda — dosha analysis, dietary guidance, and seasonal wellness.
• Yoga — asana, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy.

All responses are AI-generated. Samay holds the tradition faithfully, but interpretations may vary from those of a trained human Jyotishi.

5. Channels and What Is Free

Samay is available across three channels:

• Web — voice interface at agentsamay.com
• Telegram — text chat via our Telegram bot
• Phone — outbound voice calls to your registered number

6. Calling Packs and Billing

Samay charges for voice call time only. Text messaging (Telegram, WhatsApp) and the web voice interface are included free with any active pack.

Prices are adjusted for your region and shown in local currency at checkout.

7. How Call Time Is Metered

We meter call time fairly and transparently:

• Billing starts when you pick up the call and the voice session begins — not when the call is placed or your phone rings.
• Minimum billable duration: Calls shorter than 2 minutes are not charged. This covers accidental pickups, dropped connections, and calls where no meaningful conversation takes place.
• Billing stops when the call ends (either party hangs up).
• Processing time (when Samay is thinking or speaking) does count toward your call time, as the connection remains open.
• Low balance warning: When you have 5 minutes or fewer remaining, Samay will naturally let you know during the call.
• Pack expiry: Unused minutes expire at the end of the 30-day validity period. They do not roll over.

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. By purchasing, you authorise the charge to your selected payment method.

8. Requesting a Voice Call

To receive a call from Samay, message the Telegram bot or WhatsApp with a call request (e.g., "call me", "mujhe call karo"). Samay will call your registered phone number. You must have an active pack with time remaining to request a call.

Your registered phone number is the number you used to sign in to Samay, or the number you linked via the /start command in Telegram.

9. Refunds and Cancellations

We offer refunds under the following conditions:

• Full refund: If you have not used any call time from a newly purchased pack, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase.
• Partial refund: If you have used some call time, we will refund the value of unused minutes at the per-minute rate of your pack, minus a processing fee of ₹50.
• No refund: Refunds are not available after 7 days from purchase, or if a pack has been fully used.

To request a refund, use our contact form with your registered phone number and the Razorpay payment ID. Eligible refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Samay for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract content or data from Samay at scale
• Share your account credentials or call access with others
• Use Samay to generate content that misrepresents Vedic traditions or spreads misinformation
• Abuse the free tier through automated requests or repeated session resets

11. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, and technology powering Samay are the property of their respective owners. The Vedic texts, Bhagavad Gita verses, and traditional knowledge referenced by Samay belong to the public domain of the Vedic tradition. AI-generated responses produced during your sessions are provided for your personal use and may not be resold or redistributed.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Samay and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on AI-generated guidance.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the pack from which the claim arose.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via SMS or a notice on the service. Continued use of Samay after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
